Objective:A Design and Build Contract to construct a multi-purpose pavilion for local community

 

The Challenge:• Project control and delivery to optimise limited funding from the Football Association
• Client liaison (2 committees)

 

The Solution:• To work closely with the architect and client team creating an effective plan encompassing all construction,groundwork, mechanical and electrical design and installation, interior fit out and landscaping.
• AMJ identified value engineering opportunities – we provided an alternative M&E plan that fulfilled all requirements in budget. Plus realised savings on utility flooring in changing rooms and landscape scheme which left additional monies to improve key finishes i.e.: wooden doors and flooring in community area

The Project:A Design and Build Contract to construct a multi-purpose sports and community pavilion for local community

 

The Challenge:• Original scheme significantly outside council budget
• Issue with utilities running under proposed site
• Site based on community space / sports area in constant use

 

The Solution:• AMJ engaged alternative architect to design building to meet all requirements and specifications WITHIN budget
• AMJ liaised with Severn Trent water who were unable to confirm utilities location so engaged specialist surveying company to identify accurate locations and then amend the full scheme (back through planning) in order to resolve
• Close liaison and communication of programme with neighbouring residents to ensure project delivery on programme
